2026 시카고 하나교회 “DEAN” 장학생 선발

시카고 하나교회는 “DEAN” 장학 프로그램을 통해 자격을 갖춘 풀타임 학생들의 교육비를 지원하며, 학업 목표를 이루도록 돕고자 합니다. 또한 본 장학금을 통해 학생들과 일리노이 및 인근 지역사회에 하나님의 축복이 전해지기를 소망합니다.

장학금 수여 기준

장학금 수혜자는 다음 항목을 종합적으로 심사하여 선정됩니다.

• 재정적 필요(Financial Need)

• 자기소개서(Personal Statement)

• 에세이(Essay)

• 추천서(Reference Recommendation)

• 우수한 학업 성적(Good Academic Standing)

신청 대상

1. 고등학교 졸업 예정자

다음 조건 중 하나에 해당하는 학생

• Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana 주 소재 2년제 또는 4년제 대학에 풀타임(Full-Time)으로 등록 예정인 학생

• 재학 대학 소재지와 관계없이 Illinois 거주자

2. 대학생

다음 조건 중 하나에 해당하는 학생

• Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana 주 소재 4년제 대학에 재학 중인 1~3학년 풀타임 학생 (4학년 제외)

• 2년제 대학 재학생 중 4년제 대학 편입 예정자

• 재학 대학 소재지와 관계없이 Illinois 거주자

※ 모든 지원자는 현재 재정 상황에 대한 간략한 설명과 함께 본 장학금이 필요한 이유를 제출해야 합니다.

장학금 규모

• 장학금: 각 $1,000

• 선발 인원: 총 5명
  (고등학교 졸업 예정자 및 대학생)

※ 장학생 본인이 반드시 참석하여 장학금을 수령해야 합니다.

※ 위임장을 통한 대리 수령 및 장학금 수표 우편 발송은 허용되지 않습니다.

※ 시상식에 참석하지 않을 경우 장학금 수혜 자격이 자동 취소됩니다.

2026 Hahna Korean Church “DEAN” Scholarship Program

Hahna Korean Presbyterian Church is pleased to offer the annual “DEAN” Scholarship Program to help qualified full-time students achieve their academic goals by providing financial assistance for educational expenses. Through this scholarship, Hahna Korean Presbyterian Church hopes to be a blessing not only to its members but also to the surrounding communities.

Scholarship Selection Criteria

Recipients will be selected based on:

• Financial need

• Personal statement

• Essay responses

• Reference recommendations

• Good academic standing

Applicants must either:

• Be enrolled or planning to enroll as a full-time student at a 2-year or 4-year college/university located in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, or Indiana; or

• Be a resident of Illinois, regardless of the location of the college or university attended.

Applicant Eligibility

1. Graduating High School Seniors

Graduating high school seniors who plan to enroll as full-time students for the 2026–2027 academic year at a 2-year or 4-year college or university.

2. College Students

Current full-time college students in good academic standing (GPA 2.7 or higher), including freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors enrolled in a degree program.

3. Financial Need

Applicants must demonstrate financial need and provide a brief explanation of their current financial situation and reasons for applying for this need-based scholarship.

Scholarship Award

• Amount: $1,000 per recipient

• Number of Recipients: 5 students

May 20, 2026 – July 18, 2026

Application Method

Applications must be submitted online at:

No mailed applications will be accepted.

Award Notification

Selected recipients will be notified via email by July 22, 2026.

Recipients will be required to submit official proof of enrollment for the Fall 2026 semester at an accredited college, university, or seminary within the United States.

Scholarship Award Ceremony

Scholarship awards will be presented in person on:

August 2, 2026

Hahna Korean Presbyterian Church
Des Plaines, Illinois

Recipients must be present in person to receive their scholarship award.

No proxy acceptance or mailing of scholarship checks will be permitted.

Failure to attend the award ceremony will result in forfeiture of the scholarship.
